My Pets Veterinary Practice/Tameside Vets

Small Animal Bandaging Angel

Zara started her nursing career back in 2007 in a 1.5 vet 1.5 nurse practice in Cornwall. She has travelled widely throughout her training and early qualified years and has since settled in the Manchester area with my husband, 2 boys and small ménagerie of animals. Her interest in wounds and wound management began whilst in training where she saw her first skin graft proceedure in 2008. This interest continued when she moved to Manchester and started working at an animal hospital seeing a large case load of RTA and dog attack wounds. Zara became Deputy Head nurse at this hospital before moving back into first opinion practice as head nurse where she opted to complete the ‘Delving deeper into wounds’ course in 2017. Since completing the course she joined the Bandaging Angels team and has not looked back. Zara recently moved practice after having her second son stepping down from her head nurse role to allow for more family time.
