Exotics Bandaging Angel

Sam started her nursing career in small animal practice in 1997 at Park Vets, Sutton Coldfield and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2003. She always had an interest in wildlife and exotics and she gained her certificate in nursing exotic species in 2010. She moved to Manor Vets, Edgbaston in 2011 to work as an exotic veterinary nurse. She became Head Veterinary Nurse at Manor vets in 2013. During her time working at Manor vets she gained extensive further exotic experience volunteering at ZSL London Zoo and a local falconry centre. In August 2015 she started her dream job at Twycross Zoo as Veterinary Nurse. She has a diploma in Herpetology and birds of prey and has recently completed the BVNA wound management certificate, where she gained valuable knowledge in managing wounds in a zoo environment. In 2019 Sam was successful in passing the advanced programme in veterinary nursing of zoo animals. In her spare time she enjoys going kick boxing and spending time with her 2 dogs and rescued reptiles.
